Pre-Purchase Inspection in Elgin

What we look at
We scan for stored and pending codes, check the fluids and look for leaks, measure the brakes and tires, and look over the cooling system, the belts and the hoses. Texas heat is hard on all of it, so we check that the A/C blows cold too.
Underneath, we look at the frame, the suspension, the steering parts and the exhaust for damage and old repairs. A road test tells us how the engine, the transmission and the steering really behave.
How to set it up
Call ahead for a time. Then ask the seller to drive the car over, or bring it in on your test drive. A seller who will not let a mechanic look at the car has told you something already.
